Respironics RemStar Pro backlight

Post by jauguston » Sun Apr 10, 2011 9:02 am

I am going to go to a Optioncare (Walgreen) provider soon to get my equipment. Reading here I understand the latest version of the Pro has a backlit screen and that is desirable. How will I know if what they are going to give me has it? Does it have a identifying model number?

Hi,

Look at the back of the blower and look for the production date. If it is December 2010 or newer it should be the updated system (e.g. 20101217 means December 17th 2010). Or, if you unplug the blower and then plug it back in, look at the display, it will briefly show the Firmware Version and you are looking for 2.0 or greater. If all else fails, simply plug the unit in and then turn the dial, if it lights up, then you have a back light.

Cheers
