It lists AHI index and large leaks. Are centrals and periodic episodes included in the AHI index?
I don't know the details of what your particular machine records on the SD card.
But ... Respironics does include centrals in the calculation of AHI.
On my System One auto, the AHI calculation = OSA's + CSA's + Hypopneas.
Periodic Breathing is reported but not included in the calculation.

So ... If your machine reports OSA's and Hypopneas, then you can calculate the CSA index.
What reports do you get from the SD card data?

Are you looking at summary data (1 to 2 pages) or detailed data (around 12 pages)?
Which software are you using? Do you see any graphs?
If only summary data, you need to choose detailed data to get all the breakdowns and graphs.

Respironics call centrals "clear airway apneas"

RERA Respiratory Event Related Arousals & Periodic Breathing see information from PR System One APAP provider manual below. If you have the provider manual for your machine you can check to see what it says. Unsure if your zeros for PB and RERA mean the machine doesn't score them or you didn't have any. Hopefully someone who knows for sure will comment.

From the information page at cpap.com for your machine in your profile see below. So I guess it would score them if they met the criteria

Advanced Event Detection

The PR BiPAP Pro is designed to identify symptoms beyond classic OSA parameters such AHI and flow limitations. With the PR system, detection is expand to include data on Snoring, Periodic Breathing and Respiratory Effort-Related Arousals (RERAs). Along with digital Auto-Trak Sensitivity and Flex Technology, the PR BiPAP Pro can detect the breathing cycle and report any variation in breathing patterns, increasing therapy effectiveness.

lars4life wrote:From detailed report.

PB (periodic breathing) = 0.0
CA (clear airway apnea index) = 0.4
OA (obstructive airway apnea index) = 0.5
Average Hypopnea index = 1.0
Average RERA index = 0.0
Average AHI = 1.9

Questions.....
Where is "Centrals" ??
Is PB always or often 0.0? Or is this not being recorded?
RERA is EEG arousals? How can this be recorded at home by a bipab machine? This is always 0.0?
CA is the best guess of the firmware in the machine for a central event. The sleep lab uses the same air flow data as the machine and matches it with the effort data from the abdominal / chest strap data to be sure that the cessation of breathing is not related at all to any effort to breathe. Same for OSA's.

Without the additional data, you can't be absolutely, positively sure that a reported CA event is a CSA event.
But ... because of the way the machine makes the determination with small air puffs, the correlation is quite high.

PB is not alway 0.0. It may be that way for you ( great news for you ) but for others of us the number can be much higher.
It correlates with a type of breathing called Cheyne-Stokes Respiration (CSR). If you show up with CSR, your doc will send you off for a series of tests to eliminate some very bad stuff related to heart and lungs.

I wish my numbers could be as low as yours during treatment. Hope that in the mornings, you feel much better than before starting CPAP treatment.

Just wanted to add that AHI is per hour. Your numbers look really good. For what its worth, I've only seen periodic breathing flagged once in 4 months and that was after eating Tai food that may have been high in MSG.
