Using a auto bi-pap bi-flex for the last seven nights 8 hrs at a time, will it give a person a little discomfort in the upper chest area, Like a little tight or like you had been running on a tread mill.
Discomfort in chest
When I 1st went on xPAP - using a RemStar AUTO set to CPAP mode & cms 15 - I got chest pains for about 3 days. Seemed quite severe the 1st night.
That went away - at the time I was satisfied it was related to the high pressure of the machine.
Then after 5 months I switched to a BiLevel & again on night one got very noticable chest pains, but interestingly, I believe I am fitter than I have been for a long time.
I believe that for any of us, esp those who slow their breathing markedly during sleep (often indicated by a higher Hypopnea Index to their Apnea Index) will feel the difference when any breathing device boost their nightly air intake.
It is highly probable your body is adjusting to the greater breathing effort.
Good luck

Discomfort in chest
Yes that seems to make sense to me. Chest discomfort seems to be gone today. Thanks
