I'm ready. What do I do to show report?

Post by Starlette » Tue Mar 29, 2011 10:41 am

Even though I lost my original SD-Card. I'm pleasantly surprised that I was still able to retrieve data for the last 5 months.
As Pugsy made mention, look like I'm going to have to resort to setting up a Photobucket account which I'll set up til I here from you all.
I'm home sick today with bad nose so I might as well take advantage and get this report started.
What do I do to get get started and what pages do you want for review? I'll say this from what I saw it didn't look good *cries*

Run the full details report. You will get the "Daily Details" report for the last seven days. Each Daily Details report is only one page. Post two or three of the "Daily Details" reports.

BTW, since this is the first time for you to look at your efficacy data in detail, think of "it didn't look good *cries*" as GOOD NEWS! With monitoring of the data and some smart tweaking you now have the opportunity to improve your therapy and improve your life.

Thank you Roster. However, that is my question, "How do I post to this forum???"

I use Windows so how Mac's take screen shots is up to you but here are the basics I tell everyone.

How to insert image/report

Open the image to full size so it is easily read.
I use Vista snipping tool to create a screen shot and crop the image at the same time.
Prt/scr key will also take a screen shot if using XP. If laptop is used sometimes the Fn key has to be pushed at the same time as the prt/scr key
I think windows 7 has the snipping tool.
Once the screen shot is created save it in jpg format.
Upload the image to a host site. I use Photobucket it is free, there are others.
Once the image is uploaded then copy the ENTIRE IMG address. Be sure to include the opening and closing IMG in brackets. Paste that copied address into a post here.
Use the preview button. If you can't see the image try again because if you can't see it we can't.

Man, there has got to be an easier way!
This is toooo tedious, but I did it. Here a go. Let me know what you think.

NOTE: EncoreViewer data 03/29/11 copy/pasted onto PhotoBucket has been removed (02/03/12)

This one looks great. BTW only need to mess with these daily details, the summary stuff is not that critical.
Have you changed the time zone in Encore PRO?

This one below, what happened?? Lots of OAs in that one large cluster

I don't know what is involved with Mac, screen shots and editing or cropping the images.
But with Vista or Windows 7 I just use the snipping tool and get screen shot and cropped image in one swoop.
Only the daily detailed reports are what we really look at so a person can save themselves a lot of work by just doing that part of the report.

Did you have a specific question about something you saw on the reports that needed explaining?
Leak line is excellent.
One night very low AHI, very good.
Short report night, not so good, any idea what happened? Large OA grouping. Are you worse in REM or on your back?

Referring to sleep study in 2008 events were worse in REM (31) than the other (10)
Pugsy, how did you make my link show in full view?

I right clicked on the image once I got to it via the link and I chose "copy image location" then created a post, I clicked on the IMG button on the forum editor (next to url button) and I inserted the image location address between the IMG brackets.

Same thing can be done with less steps at photobucket. With each image there is a little box with all the different forms of addresses. Bottom one in that box is the IMG address. I can click on that and it will say "copied" then I just right click and paste it on the forum post and it inserts the IMG brackets for me. Once less step.

The 28th report with the group of events looks like they probably are occurring within the time frame that REM seems to happen and your history confirms this. I think that sometimes those of use that are worse in REM (me too, and a lot of people are) sometimes have "good" nights and not so bad REM related events and sometimes those REM related events are real boogers to deal with. I use APAP, range 10 to 18. Most of the time 10 or 11 gets them just fine but every now and then I see it want to go to 15 or 16 to prevent the boogers from getting through the defenses.

Your leak is to die for so we can't blame the events on leaks. It could have just been a bad night with super duper strong REM related events.

yep, you got it figured out. I know it seems like a lot of work but once we do it a few times, it isn't so bad.

I like the images seen at a glance because I know that sometimes when I try links I get time out messages. Annoying and I know likely related to my connection speed out here in the boonies but I still try to make it as easy as possible for someone to few a report and offer comments.

To take a screenshot on the Mac, hold CMD+SHIFT+4

Click and hold on the upper-left corner of the area you want to capture
Drag to the lower-right corner and release

The screenshot will show up on your desktop.

Does this work like the Snipping Tool, excess fluff is removed? So no need to crop? Not that cropping is a critical issue, just wondering. Maybe I need to include Mac directions in my canned "how to insert image" instructions that I have so I don't have to compose all the time.

It does. It creates a PNG file with just what you selected, so you can select only what you want to post.
