I've seen the sleep doc once--9 months after I started.
I noticed he gets paid way more to read a sleep study than to have an office visit.
I'd much rather have the office visit, and dispense with the sleep study;
since I can bring him my own data--for several nights, including trending over several months.
If he needs a sleep study to make a living; I know it's for his benefit, or for his friends in the sleep lab;
not mine. As long as my insurance covers it, I can accept that with humor and irony.
I try not to let the ugly stuff get under my skin. besides, my deductible doesn't go to the DME--WIN!
