Good word about my sleep test

Post by LilBuckaroo » Thu Dec 22, 2005 7:17 pm

After hearing others complain about their sleep doc, sleep center and sleep tech and DME. I would like to put in a good word for mine:

1. My doc is very professional and quite knowledgeable and talks to his patients like they are adults. He came to my room on the morning after the test armed with the results, and a prescription. One of his staff members gave me a copy of my sleep test at that time. She even tried to find a DME in Montgomery, AL., where I live.
2. The sleep center is in a hospital in downtown Birmingham AL. The room resembled a motel room. It is well run and equipped.
3. The sleep tech was a very nice and knowledgeable individual. Like the doc, he talks to his patients that like they are adults.
4. My DME, who is Montgomery, AL, worked with insurance company and me to get my equipment, and they did get it.

The only problem that I had was the fact that I had not met my insurance
deductible at that time. I had my sleep test on Dec. 7, 2004 so I could not get my
equipment until January 3, 2005. This was not the DME’s fault at all.

All in all, it was an enjoyable experience, but not one that I want to do again.

Harold,

It's always nice to hear a good story... I wish there were more of them.
Sincerely,
wading thru the muck of the sleep study/DME/Insurance money pit!
