Ok, I apologize for the length of this post, but this is annoying:
So for the last month on Facehugger, I have been having really vivid dreams – maybe making up for no REM sleep for the last 10+ years?
Some of the dreams are R rated – won’t detail those, others rehash events from years ago, but usually with a different outcome, for example:
We were looking at houses a number of years ago,
Had this real estate agent convince us to look at a place way, way up in the hills. We followed her out there, place was an old farmhouse on about five acres - place didn't look too promising during the drive in, lot of people with trailers on property and old broken down cars.
The real estate woman, gets out of her car to open a gate, and this big pitbull looking dog jumps out of nowhere and clamps down on her arm. She's screaming, Wifey starts screaming as well, I jump out of the truck and grabbed a four foot chunk of 1" galvanized pipe out of the back and whomped that dog a couple of times pretty good, hard to hit him without hitting the woman. Finally was able to get a full backswing and drove hard into the ribs, got his attention - he let go of the gal.
The real-estate woman is bleeding from a couple of puncture wounds and is standing behind me, the dog is growling and advancing as we back toward the truck. The piece o crap kind of lunges at me so I brought that chunk of pipe down on his head, got him with a full swing too - like ringing the bell at the State Fair, dropped like a sack of potatoes, over on it's side, legs stiff.
This all happened in the space of about 30 seconds - couldn't believe it, I turn to look at the wife, she's staring at me through the windshield of the truck, eyes and mouth wide open. The real estate agent is looking at her arm, not a lot of blood, but she's looking kind of white, like shock. I looked at the dog - it was breathing, not dead, looked like it was stunned.
I start to ask the gal if she could drive when an old beater Ford pick-up pulls up with the dog owner, Cletus Clodhopper and his BBW Spandex wearing wife. She immediately starts shrieking and runs to her "little doggy" and flops down next to the dog wailing uncontrollably. Cletus just stands there, staring at me like he's trying to figure out what the hell is going on. I ask him if we're on his property, he says "nope" I ask him if that is his dog, he says "yep" I told him the dog attacked this woman and she needs to go to the hospital. His wife starts screaming that "Rufus" would never attack anyone and we must have been "ascaring" him.
She also starts shrieking for Cletus to "do" something. I kind of figured ol' Cletus might have a bird gun or something in that Ford so I quick signal to Wifey to get on the phone. She gets out of the truck and tells us that the Sheriff's dept is on the way.
That woke ol' Cletus up real quick - he gets this shifty look and wants to know why we had to call the Po'lice? He hustles over to Spandex and they pick up the dog and put it in the back of the Ford. They couldn't get out of there fast enough - Spandex was screaming at us the whole way, Cletus never looked over once.
Sheriff deputy knew who owned the dog, didn't seemed surprised that they took off, said he'd go have a talk with them, apparently they'd had a few problems with dogs in the past.
Real estate agent got a ride to the hospital - we decided to pass on the house.
Long story short, courtesy of Facehugger and REM sleep, I’ve now been reliving that day with the added bonus of getting bit by the dog – wakes me up EVERY time.
Sure hope I don’t start reliving stuff like Calculus or getting my wisdom teeth pulled.

Re: Sweet Dreams
Wow! That was a good save.
But it sounds like you've got some post traumatic stress as a result, and it's surfacing in your dreams now just because you're finally dreaming. I guess it's a good sign, but I don't blame you for wondering what else is in the queue.
