Anybody know any sleep docs in Charlotte that listen?

Post by EricinNC » Thu Mar 24, 2011 11:11 pm

Does anyone here know of any board certified sleep doctors in the Charlotte/Metrolina area, including the Huntersville/Lake Norman region, who actually know what they are doing and actually listen to their patients? Nobody in North Charlotte, please. I used to live in the University area and the doctors in that area I was not impressed with.

I am talking about South Charlotte, uptown Charlotte, Huntersville, Lake Norman areas. Preferably pulmonary oriented, Neurologists are OK... no psychiatrists unless you REALLY think they are THAT good...Ive already got a psychiatrist and already tried the "sleep psychiatrist" thing...it does not work they dont want to touch your psych meds. CMC or Presbyterian I dont care.

The number one requirement other than being a full time sleep medicine doctor is that they actually LISTEN TO ME. Ive had some that seemed to listen, others did not listen worth anything and they are the ones who dont help.

PM me off the board preferably, I need a new sleep doctor and soon.

But ... but ... but ... doctors aren't taught to listen in med school and the average attention span of doctors is the first 3 items you address during your office call. After that their mind is elsewhere ... how to handle the first item, maybe the second, what was the third ... will my golfing buddies be on time ... I hope the rain holds off until we finish our 18th hole ...

You might try Dr. Todd (neurologist) at Northeast Neurology in Denver.
