So I have to ask: What does that
NREMlight/
NREMsustained Ratio measure? And what's an inverted ratio indicate if there are no meds being taken?
Well, we started this discussion a few times, most recently in ".", the original CompSAS thread (noting the bistability), as well as several threads noting Cyclic Alternating Pattern.
However, it suddenly occurred to me that perhaps this thread isn't the best place to pursue this discussion...

Does not matter how you feel, if you are not being paid enough (or so you think) or if the patient(s) you dont like. You signed on and now you are in a position of major responsibility and have a huge DUTY to help them. Acceptance of responsibility is the number one rule of leadership, but most doctors are not leaders of men. Most are dweebs just in it to try and make a bunch of money.
They have a duty to help their patients and many dont follow that code.

Dude -- it doesn't strike you at all as being odd that you come in here preaching about DUTY and RESPONSIBILITY towards a profession because they
won't VIOLATE the rules and regs that govern their profession.
If YOU don't like the rules and regs work to change the rules and regs -- don't go off preaching this mis-guided rant about them not living up to their responsibilities or duty by not violating them.
