South Carolina's Gullah Culture/Sleep Apnea/Boo Hag

According to the Gullah legend, Boo Hags are similar to vampires, except they do not suck your blood. Instead of sucking a person's blood, a Boo Hag steals energy by sucking their victims' breath while the victims sleep. This stealing of energy happens through a process known as "riding."
If you are a victim of a Boo Hag, you will be very fatigued all day.
A common expression heard among many in the Lowcountry is "don't let de hag ride ya'", which refers to the avoidance of Boo Hags.

That's probably where I "got" this darn OSA. I got da Boo Hag whilst I was in Beaufort, SC visiting my son and grandson.

Sleep wit'out y'all CPAP.
Have a friend with a carton of table salt slip into y'all bedroom at three clock.
Friend should sprinkle salt all on da insides of da skin.
When Boo Hag quits ridin ya just before dawn, da skin will haved shranked.
Da Boo Hag will not be able tu fit into da skin no mo'.
Boo Hag will be skinless and sposed to da sun when it rises.
Boo Hag will die.
Confirm next night wit da recording pulse-oximeter.
