Sounds like alot of the people who have had their uvulas removed don't recommend the surgery.
But I can't help but think your huge uvula is causing problems.
Mine isn't huge, but its floppy. It gives me problems all the time at the dentist. When I lie back, and/or my mouth gets dry, that thing flips backwards and closes off my naso-pharynx. Sometimes it even happens during the day when I'm standing up. I go look in the mirror and that silly thing is GONE........its back up my naso pharynx. And it always makes me feel like I can't breath.
So......I don't know what to tell you, except that it seems to make sense that it could be causing you problems.
