VPAP Adapt SV, Error Message 22

Post by Oldern » Sun Mar 06, 2011 11:57 pm

Anyone have a trouble shooting guide for the VPAP Adapt SV which discusses "Error Reporting" by the machine-or perhaps know how to get one? I hooked up the hose for bed, turned on the machine and got this message and instruction to call "Service" I believe.

Any help will be appreciated and particularly any quick replies.

Ernest

Check the link above see if the information you need is in there. According to what I saw it does include troubleshooting.

That link above appears to be user manual, no explanation of any error codes that I could see.

I couldn't find a direct link to the clinician manual which might have more details but the link above will provide information on how to get the clinician manual. Just scroll down till you see the ResMed product line.

All the manuals I have (Provider and User) both say if there is an error message you should call your DME. It appears something is wrong with your unit and it will need maintenance / warranty work.

1, My machine may have been unplugged when I turned it on last evening. I don't know if that caused it to report error 22 and right now, I am a little reluctant to try to replicate that scenario. After I noticed that it had been unplugged and I plugged it in again, it worked properly.
2. The user manual does have a "trouble shooting guide." although it doesn't list the error codes, it does list one which is number 7 included below:
System Error 7 message
Device power-on has been interrupted by breathing into the mask during warm up.
Turn the flow generator off and on again. Do not place mask on face during warm up (30 seconds). Select LEARN CIRCUIT (page 21).
If the error is not cleared, contact your equipment supplier for service.
I have not had a problem doing this but I will change my ways and "do right."
3. There is some information about tolerance or specifications on power supply- clean versus dips. I can't make heads nor tails of it but I was looking for this information a few months back. Now if I can find a friendly electrican to interpret it, I can revisit my question about an Uninterrupted power supply which I raised several months ago.

btw, I have the clinician's manual (as well as the User's Manual) and I found no references to error codes other that what I listed above.
Many thanks everyone.
