ResScan, the software, doesnt' care about CRC, it only need all the files on a disk -- won't read from a subdirectroy.
I've moved the files by mistake in stead of copying, returned them to the SD, and ResScan read them just fine.
ResScan will even read your files from a different disk -- if you format it and place only the S9 files on it, as copied from the SD.
However, the blower (th xPAP machine) itself will recognize any tampering with files on the SD - even if you just moved a file elswhere and pasted it back -- and will refuse to re-use the card before overwriting the card from scratch. Assuming you're returning the card to the machine on the same day you took it out, and haven't used the machine, you will have the same data on the card after the overwrite as you did before.

Re: ResScan Download Question
I sure couldn't get Resscan to read a file from off the SD card whenever I used a hex editor to make any kind of change to it. Also, if the CRC file wasn't on the card along with the data file Resscan would not read it in.ozij wrote:ResScan, the software, doesnt' care about CRC, it only need all the files on a disk -- won't read from a subdirectroy.

What have you done to the data files and still had Resscan read them, other than just move them? Resscan doesn't care where they are physically on the card as long as they are in the proper subdirectory, as you said, but the S9 blower wants them to be in the exact proper location physically on the card.
