Hi,
I installed the ResScan version 3.13 the other day, and after about 15 to 20 minutes I get the
ugly and shocking blue screen from my Windows XP, with the message:
" the computer will be shut down in order to protect......" with stating the reason:
" Bad_Pool_Header".
I never had that problem before the installation of the ResScan software.
Have any of you had that problem ???
Is there any solution to this??
I would be thankful for your replay.
Thanks Harry44

Re: ResScan 3.13 and blue screen
Haven't had that problem with Rescan but I've seen it enough under other circumstances to know that it, literally, could be anything from a software conflict to a hardware issue. Try uninstalling anything you no longer need from the machine and hope for the best

ResMed is probably sending dongles to 'professionals'
That would cost a heck of a lot--but maybe they can afford it.
Last time we fired up an update, we did it on a different computer--just to check for malware.

Re: ResScan 3.13 and blue screen
In my experience the bad pool headers are almost always related to device drivers.
Did you install any of the resmed device drivers when you installed ResScan?

Re: ResScan 3.13 and blue screen
I have deleated an old version 3.10, and I deleated 3.12 completly from the harddrive.
All the drivers where before installed, and deleted again.
After installing version 3.13, I got shortly after again the blue screen.

Re: ResScan 3.13 and blue screen
Does the blue screen happen after you boot up XP in safe mode?
Safe mode runs a bare minimum of drivers.
Restart your computer and start pressing the F8 key on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured for booting to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when the Boot Menu appears.
Select an option when the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, and then press ENTER.
When the Boot menu appears again, and the words "Safe Mode" appear in blue at the bottom, select the installation that you want to start, and then press ENTER.
