Hi,
My numbers have been shooting up in the past three weeks (AHI of 6 and 7....both AI and AH up). Here is what has changed: I have started taking BP medication and on my doc's orders I have stopped my three mile walks and my tennis until I see the cardiologist. My EKG shows some problems. I have gained two or three pounds since I stopped exercising. I keep tweaking my pressure (from 9.2 to 10.4 over the past week or week and a half). It doesn't seem to change anything. Can someone help me make sense of this and figure out a course of action? IN spite of my higher numbers, I have been feeling okay in the daytime for the past few days once I got my blood pressure down to normal. Should I keep pushing my pressure up little by little? Thanks for any input.
Why are my numbers going up?
Re: Why are my numbers going up?
How is the leak number?
Do you have the software to see the details?
Break down the numbers. How much is the AI and how much is the HI? S8 machines historically seemed to flag more Hyponeas due to the parameters in the machine.

Re: Why are my numbers going up?
My leak numbers are generally okay. My AI is now running a little higher than 2 and my Hi is 4 or 5. I know Resmed hyponea numbers tend to be higher than with other machines, but this seems too high to me (over the past year, I have been averaging about .5 on AI and 2-3 on hyponeas. Do you think I should find the software so I can have a more detailed account? Where do i start to do that? I have seen some posts about that, but I don't know how hard it is to find and set up....

Have to wonder about a doctor telling you not to walk. If that's not healthcare run amuck. What did he say you SHOULD do?

He said not to walk until she sees a cardiologist and they figure out why she has an abnormal EKG. Sounds reasonable to me, since something must have looked funky on her EKG.

The software is readily available. At least for now.SusanH wrote:My leak numbers are generally okay. My AI is now running a little higher than 2 and my Hi is 4 or 5. Your problem will be finding the card reader for the S8. Since they are no longer being made the card reader is no longer needed so no one stocks them. I did see one on Ebay the other day. $75 was starting bid but no takers when I saw it. Some members made their own card readers with ACR some number card that I don't remember but apparently it took a bit of skill to get it exactly so it would read the card.
