TAP3

Anyone using a TAP3? Saw a doc yesterday who says my airway is too narrow. Looking into that device. Another path to travel.

Nance

I have been using a Tap3 for about 3 1/2 years and it has helped me. Decided I needed more help so one month ago I started using an auto cpap machine. I am still experimenting with it. I have used it with and without the Tap3 and found the pressures are lower while I am using the Tap3. I had a harder time adjusting to the Tap3 than most people. My right jaw hurt so I would not advance the setting on the Tap3 until my jaw was used to the new setting and no longer hurt. My dentist was unhappy with my slow progress, but in the end it only took me a month longer than normal to get it to its full adjustment.

Have you had a sleep study and do you have mild, moderate or severe sleep apnea?

I've been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and still have an average of 16 AHI using my bipap.(lowest was 11 AHI) Chinstrap was aggravating old tmj problems and my dentist found this doc for me to see. He specializes in tmj and sleep apnea disorders. I'm willing to try just about anything. Thanks for the response. Glad to hear yours was a success story.
