error code 23
error code 23
I'm not new to the cpap world, but new to this site. I have just returned from vacation and when I plugged my machine back in it registered a error #23 message. I have gone on at least 6-7 trips with this machine, through various airports, and the machine always worked when I plugged it in after the trip. I have an older model Respironics Model #1005961 REMstar pro with C-Flex. It has over 15000 hours, but it still seemed to working well. I hope someone can tell me what the error code #23 means and it is easily fixable, but I also realize it may be a serious problem. It's late for me and i'm going to bed with out the machine for the 1st time in years. HELP?????

Re: error code 23
No idear here. Here's the only reference I found online http://www.apria.com/manuals/Respironic ... 0users.pdf which basically says to call your friendly helpful DME.
Sorry I can't be of more help, but a backup machine would be good to have, especially since you've gotten so much mileage out of your current machine.

Re: error code 23
There were two generations of the REMstar Pro (before they introduced the Pro 2 in early 2005).
There was the first one and then the one with the serial numbers above 2 million
This one is for the oldest model:
23 - Boost voltage too high - The boost voltage exceeds a limit of 60v for more than 30 seconds - Replace main PCA
This one is for the one with the serial number above 2 million:
23 - Pressure offset - Check for leaks or kinked internal tubing - Replace main PCA
