I am on Medicare plus BCBS of NC, plan F, rental, and I am 3 months into it.

I got the following info today from the Customers Service Manager at my DME, and it relates to my situation. I am still looking for a FF mask.

So far I like the Resmed Mirage Soft Gel nasal, the best. But my mouth leaks with it. The regular Quattro is too sensitive to the shape of my face and nose and requires tightning the straps too much to stop the leaks all around. I might cut off the forehead support which I like on the nasal Mirage and glue the piece on a chopped Fisher Peykel FlexiFit FF #432 which does not have such an arreangement. This FlexiFit has a built- in chin support.

A7030, full face mask: 1 per 3 months (The Total Face mask we spoke about has exceptions with replacement guidelines and I am researching this for additional information) {so I was correct about it}
A7035, headgear: 1 per 6 months
A7038, disposable filter: 2 per month
A7037, tubing: 1 per 3 months
A4064, heated tubing: 1 per 3 months
A7031, full face mask cushion: 1 per month (The total face mask we spoke about has exceptions with replacement guidelines and I am researching this for additional information)
A7036, chin strap: 1 per 6 months
A7046, disposable humidifier chamber (does not open): 1 per 6 months

E0601 & E0562 CPAP & humidifier: Medicare has very strict guidelines on replacement CPAP’s and humidifiers. They will provide a replacement every 5 years from the date of purchase, not the date you received equipment. They rent for total of 13 months.
They also require additional documentation from your MD in order to replace this equipment.
