quattro switch to hybrid?

Post by lfreese » Tue Feb 08, 2011 3:07 am

I am having all kinds of leak issues with my quattro, going back 13 months. I have tried several ffm with no better success and I am thinking. about buyiniug a Hybrid. Has anyone done this successfully?

13 months? Yikes! I tried the quattro for a few weeks and I couldn't stop the leaks without tightening it so much it seriously damaged my face. I switched to the Liberty and didn't like it that much (too many leaks) then I discovered the Hybrid and leaks have become a rare annoyance rather than an every night problem. I highly recommend getting the Hybrid or Liberty from CPAP.com and get their return insurance if you'd like. Make sure you give your new mask a fair short (maybe a week?)

I too have had leak issues with the Quattro , unless strapped down extremely tight. Unfortuneately I tried the Hybrid and had too many issues with the pillows, no matter how they were arranged they moved out of my nostrils during the least bit of movement. I'm sure it fine for some but not me.

For me the trick to getting the nasal pillows in place was to make good use of the antero-superior head strap (at the top front of your head). This held them in place well. When I had the Liberty, I was forced to use (Roster's?) ladies stockings trick.

I have a Mirage Liberty, but tried the Hybrid for a week. For me - the Liberty was a much better fit by a mile. IMHO you really need to try both to see which is a better fit for you.

Cheers,
