For example, rather than posting here, you look like you could BADLY lose some weight if you got off your butt and off the Internet and got a gym. See my point? Once recovered, LIVE!

I do have a gym and I go 4 times a week. And I am sure you are not a super model yourself, although we can't be sure since you don't post your picture. However, the fact that you are a total jerk is enough to be a turn off in and of itself.

I think that calling me fat proves that you are immature, at best. It smacks of being a troll, to me. It takes way more than that to hurt my feelings. I used to teach middle school.

I lost 50 lbs after getting on my original machine. You look like you could do the same to me. Just saying...

Probably some others on here that fall into the same boat as well.

Not trolling, just speaking my mind.

That was uncalled for, kind of missing the point of a support group. You must really be having a bad day. I hope you start feeling better soon.

How could you possibly know how much weight I have lost since getting my machine in October of 2009? You make assumptions with no evidence at all. So, when are you posting your picture? We are all waiting for it now.

Also, my weight does what? It proves that I am not a good person? It proves that I am not an attractive person? It proves what? It says nothing about my personality. I am still a funny person, a sweet person, a sexy person *that is the opinion of my current love interest*, and an awesome teacher. Your opinion of me is worthless.

Eh, I got divorced so I didn't have to deal with men who were mean for the sake of it. So I will bow out of this thread now.

OP, I can't wait until you start feeling better so that you will go away.

Oh Mikey, completely uncalled for and shows how shallow you are. That sort of crap will get your posts put on everyone's ignore list.

No one will bother to read any thing you want to ramble on about while you are recovering or whatever.

To JayLee:
I am like an old mother hen and I love to read all your thoughts. I will defend all my chicks. Not saying you can't handle yourself because you are very capable. I just thought I had to chime in on this one. Had to take your back on it. My initial thoughts were not suitable for public viewing....

UNCALLED FOR, AND VERY MEAN.

I hope you "get a life outside of this forum" very, very soon. People are not "encouraged" or "supported" by the kind of garbage spewing from you.

Jaylee--your true friends adore every bit of you!

I hear you.

A few life times ago, I drove school bus to survive the winters in Alaska.
My second year they gave me a middle school route.
The first day, as I was dropping off the last student....
a very innocent, sweet looking girl.
As she stepped down off the bus, she turned and looked at me for a moment....
I paused closing the door expecting her to say something....
after her short pause, she said...softly....
"Is that your head or did someone $hit on your shoulder?"

It set the tone for a miserable year.
"If your therapy is improving your health but you're not doing anything
to see or feel those changes, you'll never know what you're capable of."
I said that.

Oh Carbonman....whatta way to start the year!

And I hear you, Jaylee, about middle schoolers. Thank goodness I taught adults, although I did occasionally have someone who acted as if he/she were still in middle school--literally. Ugh.

Everyone has really responded to everything here, but I'm chiming in because of one overriding question that Mikey has yet to answer:

Why do you assume that if someone is posting on a board, they have no life?

oh, BTW, when I was in FULL BLOWN OSA for the past 20+ years, I worked full time, and finished three degrees: BA, Masters, and Doctorate. I did my BA in 2 years and my Master's in one year--they were from accredited brick and mortar state universities schools. My doctorate is from a very highly rated small, private brick and mortar college with competitive admission (they admit about 1 in 4 applicants). I started college at 35, so I wasn't a kid with unlimited energy. My OSA is severe and I was sick and exhausted for decades, but that did NOT stop me from accomplishing what I wanted. During that time I also rode horses competitively and later ran a dogsled team. I just did it feeling like crap all the time and struggling every single day. I'm blessed that I had no other physical issues that prevented me from pushing through. I also started a new business three years ago and it is now very successful. I was only diagnosed 3 months ago.

Oh dear, another assumption of yours might be down the drain....that everyone with untreated OSA has no life. Many of us soldier on against incredible odds and physical issues for decades. I'm pretty sure that my story is not unusual at all, and that many many others here have done more against greater odds. I'm betting that just about everyone on this board has continued to push through and keep going with untreated OSA.

To assume otherwise is arrogant and condescending.

No wiser words have been spoken.

Your avatar suggests that you have a small penis and are compensating for that. I hope you realize there is more to being a man than having a normal sized penis, and that plenty of people live rich full lives as lifelong virgins. Don't give up hope.

I also taught middle school and you are so right......after that, nothing can touch you!

Thank you, thank you, thank you.....those without lives (??????) .......for sticking around here to help us newbies who couldn't make it without you. How much time does it take to get on here and post a few things to help others? I'd say there is a heck of a lot of time left in the day to get out there and have a life. Thanks for taking the time out of your busy and productive lives to help other CPAP users to cope. One of the things I like about this forum is the friendships that you sense between members. Keep coming back! I know that I will.

Does speaking your mind give you the right to be rude and down right mean? Did no one teach you any manners? It appears you are a user and a taker, without regard to other's feelings. We all have our reasons for coming to this forum and it is not for you to judge. It's time for you move on, I think you are alittle too 'sick' to be here.
