Hello and welcome to the forum. You will want to go into the user control panel ( right below the search ) and put in your machine mask etc and we can better try to answer your questions. Also use text not pictures of your mask and machine, it doesn't confuse us as much as the pictures do, Allot of them look alike and it takes some time to distinguish what you are using.

No easy answer to this question. It all depends .....Pradeep Swaminathan wrote: Also how long does it take to get used to this machine and mask
But if you find that it's taking you a while, that's not uncommon.
And if you find that you're having specific problems that are making it harder, post them here. You'll get plenty of friendly suggestions about what you can try that might help fix the problem.
Best of luck on your unintended journey into becoming a hosehead.

Also, you should go to the CPAP Wicki (yellow lightbulb at the top center of the page) and read, read, read. That will help you understand sleep apnea and it's treatment, along with hundreds of tips to make using CPAP easier.

Welcome, Pradeep.
Tips to make the mask comfortable depend very much on the type of mask. However, I have found that with all the masks I tried, routing the hose from above makes mask management easier. For almost 5 yearsI used a picture hook, a clean shoelace and a hair scrunchy to route my hose from the wall above my head (hose through the scunchy, with about a foot of slack above my head). Last year I boughe a Hozzzer -- I need it to keep my present mask from makng a noise - the hose still dangles from above -- but not above my head.
There are pads made by forum member Padacheek (http://www.padacheek.com) that make the masks feel much comfortable on your face.
And reading the fitting instructions - or watching the videos - is very important. Most masks have to be far looser than you'd think -- if you have to cinch a mask down painfully, it may not be the right shape or size for you.
Think about your mask choice as a runner things about choosing the right shoes: the mask has to fit your face, in both shape and size.

Hi Pradeep, I'm on night 9 (tonight will be 10) and I feel I am adjusting very quickly. I slept with the mask on all night, don't remember waking up, didnt have trouble falling asleep. This is the first mask I tried and I like it so far as much as one can like something wrapped around your head. I didn't even need my music to fall asleep last night.
I use a humidifier with the APAP machine, a hose cover, and something that smells nice next to the intake on the machine to make the experience nicer. Anything that makes you more comfortable is a good idea, I think.
