Last night was my 13th in this journey. Overall, I'm adapting pretty well. My report says I'm 100% compliant, which I like!
I have the EncoreViewer 2.0 software. Does this give me enough information? Is the EncorePro better? If so, how do I obtain it?
From my report:
Avg 90% pressure: 7.3
CA Index: 0.7
OA Index: 0.5
Average Hypopnea Index: 0.8
Average RERA Index: 0.4
Average AHI: 2.0
Avg FL Index: 1.2
Avg VS Index: 0.1
Large leaks: 0
Can someone help me interpret this, or point me where in the forum is a thread discussing how to interpret our reports?
My AHI's prior to APAP were 12-19.6, so I definitely see where 2 is an improvement, but should it be lower?
Thanks in advance...I am finding this board to be most helpful!

Re: 13 Nights on machine-need help understanding report
You don't need Encore Pro. It's meant for a clinic to manage many patients, and as a result it's heavy and SLOW. The only difference is minute by minute flow graphing for one night--not worth all the trouble of the software.
Take a look at the "Respironics Data Tutorial" on my blog for how to read the daily detailed graphs. If you have a particularly good or bad night and want to see why, that will help.
Overall your numbers look good! If you're feeling great, your AHI is well below 5 and that's where it's supposed to be. If you aren't feeling 100%, you can try to get that AHI down even more. Mine is always under 1, averaging 0.4 to 0.5, but 2 is just dandy as long as you are feeling the benefit.

Your overall numbers are all quite good, especially for just starting.
I agree with Janknitz. No need for Encore Pro. Go read the tutorial and see if that explains things well enough. If not, let us know.

Very helpful blog entry, Janknitz. Exactly what I was needing.
I am feeling more awake during the day since beginning therapy. Having OSA came out-of-the-blue to me, but once diagnosed, so many symptoms suddenly made sense! Feeling VERY fortunate that my issue was found incidental to some other testing. Now, I can get on with life
Really glad I found this site and all of you fellow hoseheads, too.
