It is listed in the screen shot posted earlier in this thread, avi123..............the Elite machine is totally different from the Escape machine of yours. The information you are requesting is readily available right within this thread.

Click "Specs" and you'll see this under the Product Specifications for that particular machine:

Data Storage Capacity Display: 365 days summary data and 5 nights detailed data (up to 500 events per session). Data Card: 180 days of summary data and 5 nights detailed data (up to 200 events per session)

"detailed data" includes AHI and Leak info.

avi123 - Have you looked at what Scrapper and Rested Gal have pointed out to you about the S8 Elite? They have pointed you to the data given by the S8 Elite.

Almost every manufacturer of cpap machines makes several different models. In the case of the S8s, there is the "Escape" - gives no data except how often and how long you use. There is the "Elite" which gives detailed data about events, leak rate, AHI, if you have the software. There is also the "Autoset" which gives the same detailed data as the Elite with the software. In addition, the Autoset can be run in straight cpap mode as well as in auto mode with a pressure range. Some of the detailed data is given on the screen of the machine in the case of the Elite and the Autoset but with software, more detailed data is available for both models of S8s. As I said the "Escape" give no data except compliance.

After you see "no data" you should be able to scroll down and see your data (AI,HI,AHI). I missed it on my first try. There should be an arrow pointing down on the screen.Try again and let me know if it works for you.

I checked the specs and and besides AHI, Leak, EPR, and pressures info there nothing else but compliance.

For example, what data from the following data taken from the S9 could you retrieve from an S8 Elite II (and also the S8 AutoSet II):


On the S9 Elite and the AutoSet, if the RT sets the SleepQuality setting to ON in the clinician's menu, then you the patient can EASILY get at all the following information from the PATIENT menu every morning BEFORE noon:

Daily Usage data
Daily AHI data
Daily AI data (i.e. just the apnea index)
Daily CAI data (i.e. just the central apnea index)
Daily 95% leak rate data in numerical form (so you can tell if leaks are potential problem)
Daily 75% leak rate data in a grapical form---i.e. Mr Green Smiley Face or Mr. Red Frowny Face

From the AHI and AI data, you can easily compute the HI since HI = AHI - AI.
From the AI and CAI data, you can easily compute the OAI since OAI = AI - CAI.

You can also change the "daily" reporting period easily and quickly to give you any of the following averages (if I recall correctly) for usage, AHI, AI, CAI, and 95% leak rate data:
7 day average
30 day average
3 month average
6 month average
12 month average (not sure about this one)

On the AutoSet you also get the 95% pressure data on the Sleep Report as well---at least if you are running in APAP mode. Since the Elite is a CPAP, there's no point in reporting the 95% pressure data.

Specifically look at the red underlines in Figure 7 of an earlier post in this thread--the very items you are asking about are there: Pressure, Leak, AHI, AI, and HI. More info and graphing is available utilizing the software.

Your question has now been answered four times in this thread--by Rested Gal, Hawthorne, and twice by me.

I have both the S9 and S8 Autoset II--so you are hearing from someone who is using the S8 Autoset II............plus you've hijacked someone else's thread again. If you truly have a specific question, please start your own thread. This thread is supposed to be helping schnarchen find the data on his S8 Elite II

I'll try one more time - On your machine avi123, the "S8 Escape" (at least that's what you show in your profile) there is no data but compliance. On the "S8 Elite" there IS detailed data.

Take the time to go to the Resmed site or cpap.com and read about and compare Resmed S8 Escape and Resmed S8 Elite - and the S8 Autoset if you want.

A person does not necessarily have to have a certain machine to know what it gives you in the way of data but a person can find this out by researching the various machines.

This thread, however, is about the S8 ELITE, which is a different S8 model than yours. The S8 ELITE DOES give detailed data. If you are telling us your machine does not give detailed data and you are thinking the ESCAPE and the ELITE are the same machine, then you missed which machine this thread is about and/or don't know the differences between the 2 models.

Hi I need the info for deciding which machine to get for myself. But you and the Ostrich have decided what I need know. These is a talk forum and not a police report about stealing or hijacking. Problem solved! Thanks to all who tried to help.

The DME checked the data using the card and found nothing. She gave me a new machine, and it works fine. Apparently the unit I had was not recording data.
