At this point I would wait and see how your therapy is tracking in the spreadsheet. If your mask leak is acceptable, your AHI is under 5.0, and you are sleeping well and feeling energetic, the software may add little value.
Somewhere down the road (5 years with many insurance policies), you will get a replacement machine. Make sure you control which machine you take delivery of at that time.

As a newbie the software was critical to getting my settings adjusted and my therapy under control.
Now after five years I rarely look at my data. But on the few days I wake up feeling crummy it is so nice to download the card before breakfast and look at exactly what happened at what minute during the night. Then you have a great chance to make adjustments for the next night.
Ms. S, I fully understand why you will not buy a machine without the software.

Rooster, thanks. I will see how things go at my first 4 week check with the doctor. (I am sure they will plug in my card and read it) and if things are not good on this machine, I will ask for a replacement so I can monitor myself. The doctor told me that after my 4 week visit, I go back to see her again in 4 months after that so I NEED to know if its working or not.

I just read a recent post on another message board in which the poster claimed to have just received Infosmart software. Their machine supplier got it for them. They needed a letter from their doctor & paid $40 for it. Here is the link to the company he said he used: (Forgot I can't post links to companies here - it is called CPAP Connect). They are an Austrailian company and the poster did not know if they would ship to the US. The software does not appear on their online catalog, so I suppose the next step for someone who wants it would be to contact the company.
Edit: Looks like the poster I was telling you about just posted below.

At last I've managed to get the Infosmart software, it cost $40 from my DME. Thecompany is CPAP Connect here in Australia, I don't know whether they will post overseas or not.

Kahfree,
If you are satisfied with your machine and as Rooster mentioned, seem to be doing well, and can't get your hands on the software you might consider down the road if or when you feel the need to have a back up machine, get one that has the software available. Just a thought in case there are too many hurdles for your current machine's software and you really want to have access to more information.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.
