Cleaning SP Climate hose?

Recent discussions on cleaning made me think that I have never cleaned my Climate hose on my S9 since I got it about 40 days ago. I like the idea of adding a couple of drops of benign liquid soap, filling with water, shaking, letting water pour through and then hang to dry. My question is if this procedure would be safe for the climate hose. Seems like if you always use distilled water (I do) and the air is always blowing that via the heated humidifier not too much can go wrong.

How do others clean their S9 climate hoses?
