Raise my premiums because of an at fault accident?

Post by Bymnpsync » Mon Jan 10, 2011 7:12 am

My own insurance carrier just informed me they raised my costs because of an responsible vehicle accident, however I didn't get any ticket for that accident. Is this : fair?

If the other party reported it, and there is a documented police report, and you are at fault, of course it's fair . Whether or not you got 'a ticket' seems rather irrelevant if the above is all true, though I would have thought they'd let you know what was happening.

This is your second post about car insurance on a forum that is dedicated to sleep apnea. If you have sleep apnea, or want to know more about it, that's fine. But if not, then take your questions elsewhere.
