Snork1,
I know, I know, "don't kill the messenger" --- but I hate it when you're right too

Your wish list is very good. Make sure it has an humidifier too. And don't let them talk you out of what you want, which is VERY common. They usually try to pawn off a cpap instead of an auto. Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I asked for the heated humidifier too (long sinus history, 2 sinus surgeries, "chronic sinusitis", etc...)

At this point, I am just tired and frustrated. I know, from reading this forum, that it might very well be a fight to get the right equipment. I have been tired for so long, I just thought I was cranky as part of my personality. Anyhow, I pity the poor DME that tries to stand in my way at this point (once he/she ever flipping calls!).

It helps that I do finally have a diagnosis, and that I did get 3 hours of blissful sleep (at the sleep study on cpap)- so I know that it is possible to actually feel better. However, I am starting to understand people who get hooked on drugs and will do anything to get them - I am about ready to break into the sleep clinic : "Just hook me up, man. Just a couple of hours, no one has to know! C'mon, help a poor hosehead out..."

I know I am at the end (at least hopefully) of a long road and I can see the payoff in sight - just a little more patience.... However, knowing what I have learned from this forum, (and, the TAS forum, too), I am not about to be pushed around by the DME. My bliss has been a long time coming - they can just deal with my wish list. (Man, oh man, do I hope I don't eat those words )
