It has been two years.

Actually, it has been a touch more than two years that I've been on CPAP. Let's see, what images and links did I post lats year in viewtopic.php?f=1&t=47873&p=434214#p434214

I missed the actual 2 year anniversary, because I had gotten a new computer....and it wasn't until today that I got XP Mode working and got EncoreViewer 1.0 installed and my old data copied over and then did the new download.

I can see in my report that my AHI is seen to get over 1.0 now, and that there are OA events again, because the recent PSG changed my pressure from 7.5 to 7.0, only because the sleep lab is only capable of doing whole numbers.

Of the 20 days of non-usage in the report....the real number of missed days is 10. Because there were 11 nights of missing data because the card was missing from my machine. The mismatch is because there was one night the card was slightly out, but later I was cleaning and bumped the card back in....the opposite of what I had intended to do then.... The more recent spans due to taking the card to my DME for a download. Even though I got card back right away...since I didn't go straight home afterwards, I forgot to put it back into my machine.

I'm debating whether I should even bother with taking my card to DME. Since I can run the report myself, and its often more timely and complete due to logistics of going to DME to do download there, and running the risk that she isn't available immediately before my sleep doctor appointment, etc.

Wonder what'll happen when I follow through on my plan to get a different machine (or two)....torn between a travel/backup machine, or the S9 and its climateline tubing....or both.

Now if only I can get the doctors to something about the original problems I complained about that landed me on CPAP (the EDS and sleep attacks...though I'm hearing that some of my other normal sleep things aren't normal....like occasionally have sleep paralysis or hallucinations or the awful hypnic jerk just as I'm about to fall asleep. But I like the lucid dreaming....)

Guess I didn't get the PDF to image process quite the same as it was on my old computer....

If it were me, I'd set the pressure wherever I wanted to -- the software would show me (as it would you, since you have the software) if raising the pressure gave better results, or not. I'd set the pressure at 8.0. But that's simply what I'd do...and I'm not a doctor.

7 does seem like a low pressure.
if it were me i'd have to have an apap machine & set a max pressure around 9-10 to start.then tweak #'s if needed after giving your plan a fair chance . also make sure you are not getting dry mouth from mouth leaks. you can always take printouts to your dme & reformat your own card. it's your health !
i recently had to go back to a chinstrap because of(mouth leaks) concrete mouth . if not corrected can leed to dental problems. also went back to humidifier set to 1.
good luck Dreamer !

Congrats on another year! Sure hope you find answers regarding your residual symptoms. Let us know what machine(s) you decide on.
