Eye Swelling - no mask leaks

Hi All,

I woke up today, and the corners of my eyes were very swollen. I don't have mask leaks around the eyes, specifically the corners, and can only wonder if this is happening in response to my nose being so red and swollen. I have my mask as loose as I can, but it is still tight. any ideas about why this happens and has anyone found any cures? I searched the archives here and someone taped wet tea bags to their eyes every night. I am hoping someone knows why this may occur. It seems like edema, which I suffer from when I get really tired after having pushed too long and been on my feet too much.

I am mostly wondering if this could be a sign that circulation is decreased because of my mask. Or if this is a progressive problem. I love my Quattro, but between the nose redness and pain and now this, I am wondering if I will have to use another mask.I sure hope not as my sleep has been great and my numbers superb. There has to be a way around this.

Finally, I am wondering if this could be a weight or water issue. as I think back over the past week, I know I haven't had enough water, and will start water loading today.

Between my sore, red nose and swollen eyes, this is a real drag and is uncomfortable. any answers or good guesses would be appreciated.

That is one of the reasons I switched to the Innomed hybrid. Sometimes it didn't seem to be leaking but when your eyes are wet they get cold fast so there must be some air flow somewhere.

I switch back and forth depending on the state of my sinuses.

Note: there is a connection between the nasal passage and the eyes - tear duct drains. This is a problem for some people
