I have been a user for three months and have good nights and not so good nights. I started out using the Opus 360 nasal pillows mask and just converted to the Swift FX for her which is much better. Years ago I used a full face mask and quit shortly thereafter. I then had surgery on my jaw, nose and mouth to help the apnea and it did not work with the exception that I can use the new masks and I keep my mouth shut. So some good happened.
My question is I am now getting some moisture in the nasal pillows. How do I stop that? I am pretty technically challenged and have never used a chat room or forum like this! I actually tried to join the online chat, but flash player did not work which may be due to my using an IPAD. My laptop may be better?

Welcome..... the iPad does not support Flash so, yes, your laptop will be better for chat. If you are getting moisture in your mask, it may be to the humidifier being set too high, or if your hose is not elevated, you may be getting some rainout. Be sure your machine is below head level and your hose is elevated....by either snaking it over your headboard or using a hose caddy of some type.
Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.

It's pretty hard to prevent the moisture in the pillows themselves because your nose is almost always warmer than the air coming in through the tube. Condensation happens right in the nasal pillows themselves. I hate that "wet dog nose" feeling.
Here's what's helped me:
1. All the usual rainout advice might apply (IMHO it's really a bit different from rainout in the tube so even if you do these you might have moisture in the pillow, but I'm not 100% positive). That means a climate line hose or hose cosy, turn up the heat on your humidifier, sleep with the hose under the covers and coming uphill from the machine, etc.
2. Karen from Pad-a-Cheek (PM "Padacheek") makes something she calls a barrel cozy. It fits over the nasal pillow "barrel" and keeps that airspace in the barrel warm. In addition, your nose is up against soft, stretchy fabric instead of cold, clinical silicone, and it feels great with the barrel cozy.
3. Put a hose cover on your short slinky hose, too. Karen makes these as well.

Re: Pretty New User
had same issue with moisture in mask ,solve the problem by turning down humidifier and using climate line ,good sleeping.
Re: Pretty New User
Cut the end off of a tube sock & use rubber bands to secure the sock to the short hose. Just be sure to not cover the vent holes.
Good luck!

I'm with Janknitz, really like barrel cozy for the wet dog nose prevention. Also hose cozy, cozy for slinky hose and hose hanger. Good luck, we are here to help. kathy
Any landing you walk away from is a good one; if you don't break your airplane it's excellent.

Hi Grady cat-----I agree with the others in what they said. I have my machine on a very low small plastic step stool along the side of my bed on the floor ( I got at ACE hardware). That places the machine and hose lower than your head and it prevents any water or moisture from dripping down the hose onto your face.
Karen from Pad-a-Cheek (PM "Padacheek") makes wonderful products!! I have the Hose Cover that she makes--it is made of thick fleece material and made in a bigger size than what is actaully needed so it is very nicely made. It has velcro closures at each end to keep it on the tubing--completely machine washable and dry. I also got the strap covers she makes in the matching hose fleece along with the skinny small hose cover she makes as well. Try any of her products and you cannot go wrong.
