Hi all....has anybody used this machine? DeVilbiss intelliPAP Auto CPAP w/ SMARTFLEX
I'm looking for a travel/backup machine for my beloved S9 auto. The DeVilbiss Autoadjust was recommended to me as having a similar feel to the S9. I don't care that it isn't data capable--I'm more concerned that it is easy to transport, sturdy, and has a similar EPR feel to my S9.
Any comments? Recommendations for other backup machines?
Thanks!
Weezy

I think the 'travel' designation is a mistake - it's a full fledged, very reliable machine that does everything very well. And costs a lot less than other machines! And it is data capable if you buy the set-up for $150., or you can do what I do - read a code # from the window in the a.m., enter it onto either the DeVilbiss or Cpap.com's special little window and instantly get a day's, or week's worth of AHI's, hi and lo pressures, leak and flow rates, and a lot more. Not as detailed as the S9's, but as much as I need.

Thanks, Julie! I take it that you're very happy with yours? Everything I've heard is very positive. I really like the way it sits on top of the humidifier and has a compact footprint--that seems to me like it would be more convenient when traveling than my S9 which is spread out.
Do you use the humidifier? If so, what do you think of that? Do you use an Aussie heated hose? a cozy?
Thanks!

Hi Doc... I am extremely happy with my IP AutoAdjust w/Smartflex. It is a wonderful machine.... quiet, excellent 3 yr warranty, does NOT have a power brick, and the data is more than enough for the typical user. As Julie said, one doesn't need the software unless you are into the nitty gritty details. The Smart Codes will provide you all the important numbers needed.
The Smart Flex is especially smooth because DeVillbiss has a patented Rounding feature that you configure separately from the flex. This rounding makes the transitions from pressure to pressure smooth as glass. I do not discern any changes at all during flex. The Rounding was only found on their high end Bipap machines until this past August when DeVilbiss added the Smart Flex w/Rounding to the cpap/auto adjust line.
For the price, you can't beat this machine. It is the best selling auto machine on cpap.com. I hope this helps you make a decision..... best of luck!

Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.

Hi - I do use the humidifier in winter, when it's drier, but it's so humid here in summer (close to the ocean) that I don't need it then. I like that I can switch from use to not using it in 10 secs flat. I also don't use c-flex, never have.
