quick clean up option

Post by Homer1959 » Tue Dec 28, 2010 8:48 pm

I've used the search feature in regards of the maintenance and cleaning but I couldn't find the answer I was looking for, however I probably looked at the wrong place

First I need to share with you that I am lazy by nature I woke up every morning at 4:45am to go to work and I cant see myself cleaning my mask with warm soap and water every morning as precribed by the makers of the mask .

I'm looking at a cheap and handy way to clean the mask cushion and what else my finger can reach without taking the mask apart

I was thinking about alcool wipes ,or some kind of spray and wipe stuff, you get the idea, quick, efficient and affordable a stuff that is not going to harm the material

Thanks for your help guys

You will find that many here do not wash their masks in water/cleanser every day. I wash my nasal pillows every 2 or 3 days in warm water and Dr. Bronner's soap. In between, using CPAP wipes is a great way to keep the mask clean. Some use those all week and then do a thorough wash once a week. Do a search for cpap wipes and you will find plenty of suggestions on what kind to use. Many only use half a wipe to make them last longer. Some use generic brands; others use name brands.... FWIW, I don't clean my mask in the morning.... I usually don't remember to do it until night!
Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.

I use the Parents choice unscented baby wipes from Wal-Mart.
Very good results--quick, easy. (I'm lazy, too)

Yep -- I use baby wipes now too. Although I prefer Target's over Walmarts -- they're softer. But I find this actually cleans better than the cpap wipes I had been using.

I wonder why? Maybe 'cuz you're human! I don't clean mine every day and I don't need to get up to go to work every day. Take it into the shower with you every once in awhile and give it quick wash with hand soap or hair shampoo and rinse it good. Easier and faster rinsing when you don't need to concern yourself with how much water you splash every which direction!

It's male multitasking....kinda like peeing and brushing your teeth at the same time while you're in the shower....at least that's what my hubby says it is!
