I don't think you will need to uninstall Viewer.
On my old computer I had EncoreViewer 1.0 and added Encore Pro 1.8 and ran them both at the same time.
On this computer I have only EncorePro 2.4 because I seem to have misplaced my Viewer disc.
So I can't say for sure but since they are two entirely different programs, I can't imagine any problem.

The only problem I had with EncorePro 2.4 installation was when I didn't read the readme text first, didn't see the password info. Oops, so I uninstalled it and attempted a new install. Darn thing kept telling me it was already there..
Probably needed to run CCleaner but I didn't. Most likely something was left in the registry and I didn't want to go hunting there so I just installed EncorePro again but chose "custom" install and made a minor change and all is well.

I will caution that the password is case sensitive and DON"T try a password 3 times and fail or the whole darn thing locks up. Someone else had this happen to them. Not sure if they ever found a back door.

I really don't think that removing Viewer is needed.
You will need to poke around to find the time zone change. If you can't find it, let me know and I will provide exact location. It is in the business or company preferences though. It can easily be edited. The default time zone is GMT and it plays havoc with the reports.

Wow its awesome to see how things are going threw the night... Ive only had my machine for about a 2 weeks now so pardon this very newbie question. What do all those abbreviation stand for? How does the machine determine the different faults in the sleep pattern?

Hi Scott. I really hope you get some excellent answers to that last question! I have been using the Respironics software in one version or another for a loooong time now - since October 2003! - and I still don’t quite understand all of the data that is collected. A lot of information can be found here on this forum but unfortunately most of it is scattered around and takes a good amount of searching. Mask leak rates, average and maximum "large leaks" are my weak points. I wish there was a good tutorial available for study, but nothing like that seems to exist.

The information that I use is number of Obstructive Apneas (usually none on XPAP for me), 90% Pressure, and studying the rises and falls of the pressures generated to control events.

Don’t worry - you'll get some good answers here, I am sure.

Which abbreviations? The ones in the software or the ones we use commonly here in the forum?
The software has a Glossary of terms in the Help section of the software.

The forum cpap wiki has a wealth of information in it. Look on the top of the banner for the light bulb.

Not sure what you mean about the faults in the sleep pattern. The machine and the software doesn't really have any way to determine sleep pattern.

Do you have the software and just wish the data dissected so that you understand what each means? If so, posting a sample of your report will give us a chance to explain what each part of the daily details means. At the bottom of each daily report is a Legend with the commonly used acronyms in the report.

No, there is no tutorial explaining the software. Remember it was designed for "pros" and they should already know what all the stuff means and what to do. It isn't hard to learn though. Just a bit of time and reading and experience and it all becomes clear pretty quick.

Here's a bit of info about that 90% number. Watch it vary depending on pressure increases. This report is from a couple of nights ago. Notice my mess toward the end of the night. Increase leak the last hour of sleep. Increased pressure trying to compensate for leak. This happens fairly often for me at this time. Likely stirring and getting ready to completely wake up. When I don't have this increase in pressure and leak my 90% will be around 12 but when I have a leak it will go up and this night it says 90% at 14 cm. Obviously I didn't need anything near 14 cm for most of the night so that 90% is inflated because of the leak. So just an off hour can give an inflated 90% number. For this report, mentally I toss that last hour out the window.

I started this thread about the software I wrote for viewing PR System One Data, which I call "onkor". The recent posts of htis thread have been about Encore (which is fine!), but I don't want people to get confused.

The software I wrote (at http://www.hoolehan.com/onkor) is designed for end users of CPAP machines and I try to make it as easy as possible to use. I know there's a long way to go, but if anyone is willing to try it out I appreciate all feedback.

Also, one more programmer has joined the project so hopefully more updates will occur in the near future.

I just released v0.6.0 of onkor at http://www.hoolehan.com/onkor

Improvements include:

• Better 002 file processing, which resolves an issue encountered when uploading some 002 files previously
• Event list shown in a accordion interface
• Definitions of events included

I've also included 3 new event types. I don't know what they are, but they are perhaps Vibratory Snore, Large Leak, and Flow Limitation. They are marked on the graph as unknown events. If anyone can deduce what they by comparing with other programs, I'd really appreciate it.

As usual, let me know if you encounter any problems. Robysue, I didn't get to look into the problems you've encountered yet, but it's next on my list.

Version 0.7 of onkor has been released. Only change of importance is correction to timing of "durationless" events. There's still an occasional misalignment with Periodic Breathing. Thanks to BryanC and jedimark and SleepyCPAP for their input!
