Help with new nasal pillows/mask..

Post by Backdoctor » Mon Dec 27, 2010 9:42 am

I have been using the Breeze Nasal Pillows for years. With a beard/moustache they work great. I get a good seal. Sometimes it takes a few mins of use, but no leaks.

I have had the same mask for prob 1.5-2 years. I have changed hoses once, but the same pillows. I've cleaned them here and there. I really dont mess with it all much. It works fine. I was thinking of getting a new one. I've seen them for $69 online. A big improvement from years ago when they raked you over the coals on cost.

Are there any other nasal pillow masks that I should consider? I've had no issues with this brand, but wanted to see whats out there.

Thanks, Happy New Year.

I am checking into the Swift FX. Many people seem to find them to be the most comfortable because the straps are soft and do not have to be tight at all. They have 4.5 out of 5 in the 221 reviews at CPAP.com.

Thanks, it looks like a nice mask. No hard pieces. I'll see if I can find a better price, its almost double the Breeze mask.

What I like about the Breeze is that the hose goes over the head, as I drpae the hose over the headboard. What I don't like is the front exhale port, but the Swift also appears to exhale in front.

If you are happy with the Breeze, just get a new one.

I'm a big fan of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". If you are happy with the Breeze and it works well for you, no need to change. With sleep, a minor change can result in big sleep problems--not worth it if not necessary.
