FF Mask problems. Your favorite ff mask?

Post by MoonBear » Sun Dec 26, 2010 10:33 am

Hi,

I've been using the Quattro for about three weeks. I am 100% compliant.

Although I purchased that gel-like pad from cpap.cpm and pad-a-cheek, I continually have a red bump on my nose. and now it appears that my skin on my left cheek is abrading when I use the mask. I have used the gel alone, the pad a cheek alone and both products togeter.

DOes any one use A ff mask they like that does not cause these side effects? I actually find the quattro very comfortable, but I will need to change off to let these issues subside. I'm a mouth breather who doesn't want to tape and has limited nose breathing so, unfortunately, a swift won't work.

MANY thanks for the help.

Namaste,
MoonBear

My favorite FF mask isn't "FF" at all!

Have you considered a hybrid? The "Liberty" and "Resmed Hybrid" are both good and eliminate the nosebridge sores.

I use the Hybrid and love it! I went thru 4 or 5 traditional FF masks before I tried the Liberty. Then found I got a better fit with the Hybrid. I just depends on which leaks less for you.

Check 'em out...

Hi, I will have to say my favorite is the fitlife. I like it because nothing touches the nose.
I use the large even though my face is small. I tried the small at first and didn't like the way it made lines in my face.
Good luck to you!

You can look at everyone's profile and see what mask they use...in most cases, THAT would be their favorite.
Every face is different...what may be my favorite may not work for you.

I went through four FFMs (both hybrids, F&P 431 and ComfortFull2) before settling on an Ultra Mirage FFM. It seems like a lot of people who can't use a Quattro use an UMFF and vice versa.

Have you tried a mask liner (like from Remzzzs or I think Padacheek)? Or, you can make your own from an old t-shirt.

It is not your mask! You just need a good CPAP cloth maks liner like Quietus Liner. Try it and your issues should disappear!!! SOON
