Ok I'll admit I play too much with things sometimes. I'm usually up at night since wife works midnight shift. So I decided to play with changing the time on my S9 Autoset in order to not have my sleep split between two sessions when the noon reset comes. In my wisdom I went in today on the 17th of December at about 15:00 (or 3pm) and changed the time to 3:00 (or 3am). Upon clicking the darn button I received the error "data already exists for this period". Ok, I accept that (should have known). Appears machine defaulted back to the 15:00 time on the 17th. So not wanting to give up, I went to the date settings and changed the date to the 18th. No errors, machine now thinks it is 15:00 on the 18th. Now tried to change time to 3:00 on the 18th and received the error data already exists for this time period.
Since there is no way to set for example a new date and time then save the numbers, how should I have done this? Now my system is off by one day, and I still have not accomplished my goal. I even tried pulling out the SD card then making the changes, same result.
1.) Should I leave it alone and accept it is one day off and my sleep will always be split between two days?
2.) Should I remove the SD card, reset the machine, and reprogram everything? (would that even work)
3.) Tell me the real answer probably the above two don't apply...

Re: SNAFU on time setting for S9
I encountered this exact same situation when I tried to set my machine back one hour when we changed from DST. What happens is when the S9 is turned on/off it adds data to the summary data file. If the on/off sequence occurs the first time after noon it adds a record to the summary data file. That record has ten sets of entries in it and covers the entire 24 hr period. Each set of entries covers a mask event. With subsequent on/off events before noon the next day the next zero entry set is replaced by a data set. When you try to set the clock back you are trying to set a time for the S9 which has already been accounted for in the summary data file. You can set the clock forward because you're setting a time that has no data recorded yet. The only way to set the S9 clock back is to erase all the data. That unfortunately, at least for me, erased the data on the card also.STL Mark wrote:Ok I'll admit I play too much with things sometimes. I'm usually up at night since wife works midnight shift. Live with the situation you now have until you come to a point where you can afford to wipe out the summary data file, like the day you send in the card for a compliance check. Delete the data in the S9, set the clock to where you want it, and leave it there. If you're saving a copy of the data on your PC you will have to scratch one day's data from Resscan to make the change.
Have I helped, or just confused you more?
