Have ResMed Mirage Quattro, recommend me another one...

Post by parabellum » Fri Dec 17, 2010 11:07 am

Hello all.

So I have a ResMed Mirage Quattro:

I like it ok, but as I've had to increase my pressure settings, the comfort level has faded a bit...and I'm considering something that may be more comfortable for higher pressures (10+).

Can anyone who has had this mask, recommend another model that you preferred OVER the mirage quattro?

I know that this is all subjective, but I was hoping to try another mask, my insurance let me know that I'm due for new equipment, so I can get one for very little out of pocket.

It definitely needs to be full face, but other than that, I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks!

Severe OSA. (Untreated AHI=65, O2 Desat to 77%)
Resmed Mirage Full Face Mask
Resmed S9 Elite w Humidity
Happy CPAP user.

Resmed Ultra Mirage FF, my husband's pressure is 12cms and it seals well, it does seem to need replacement somewhere after 4-5 months which Medicare covers after 3 months.

If this is covered by insurance, just go to your DME and try another mask...you always have a 30 day trial. If you don't like it...exchange it.

By the way...10 is NOT a high pressure. I'm guessing that the average user on this board has their machine set at 10 or higher.

I use the FX nose pillows and my pressure on my s9 auto is set at low 9.6 and high 11. Works fine.
