SleepyHead, the S9 Elite is an excellent machine, with full data capability. Keep in mind, though, that it is straight cpap ONLY, which limits your ability to maximize your treatment. Any DME that can get the S9 Elite can get the S9 Auto as well.

My only suggestion regarding nasal pillows masks is that they tend to be a little more "drying" than the nasal cushion or full face masks at first. That is easily remedied by purchasing a tube of Ayr Nasal Gel to protect and soothe the nasal passages whilst they "toughen up" a bit. And I personally feel that they increase the need for a humidifier than the nasal cushion and full face masks.

I recommend the S-9 Autoset, it can be run as the Elite in straight cpap mode or in auto, making it a dual purpose unit. After watching your data, (you will want the free Resscan 3.11 software, find Uncle Bob and click on the link by his signature for the free download) you'll be able to decide if you want to run in cpap or auto mode. The nasal pillows are less obstructive than some of the nasal masks and full face masks, so they may be the best to try first. I like them and use Lansinoh, a thick balm for nursing mothers, to help keep a good seal. And Jonnybee, we have 4 of those $.02 critters, gotta love em. Just gotta keep the wife away from the shelters, no room for any more. john
