What else is required? I tried it and nothing happens! Is it because I have sleep quality option turned on in the clinician's menu. I also have never seen a number for leak rate on my machine, only the smiley or frowning face for mask fit.

Seems like you could use some help with understanding your new machine.

I'm sending you a link to download the software from Resmed and a link to download the clincians manual for the S9, this is the manual the doctors normally have and they probably will not give it to you with the machine
The manual lets you know how to unlock the secret menus where you can change your pressure etc.

1) link for latest 3.12 software directly from Resmed

Download ResScan from Resmed

Once installed the clinicians manual for ResScan can be found on your hard drive under c:\program files\resmed\ResScan3\ResScan Clinician's Manual.pdf

2) S9 AutoSet™ & Elite™ & H5i™ Clinical Guide

Download Clinicians Manual

you need to turn on "sleep quality", thats how you get the machine to record detailed data.
you need to sleep with the SD card in the machine at night for the machine to record the detailed data.
you need to tell the software to download the detailed data, the default is summary data only.
Download the data to ResScan on your computer at least every 7 days if you want ALL the detailed data.

Uncle_Bob, I downloaded ResScan a while back thanks to a link from you as well as the S9 Clinical Guide. I will be switched to a bi-level machine soon. Looks like the choice will be between a PR System One Bi-PAP Auto and a Resmed VPAP Auto 25. Any idea where I could get the clinical guides for these machines?

Thanks

Thanks. I already have the s/w and the docs. I guess I should have looked in the clinician's manual before now. My problem was simple, and dumb! When I read setup button my brain automatically interpreted that to be the center button of the knob since that's the one you push to get to the clinician's menu. Duh. I mean, it's logical, isn't it, since to get to the clinician's menu you push the setup button AND the center button, so to get more info you push the info button AND the center button. Right? Obviously not. Oh well, live & learn.

A quote I read somewhere one time is something like, "The greatest impediment to solving a problem is already having the answer!"

The 2 buttons trick is neat, so have more info now. It looks good. I saw my EPR is set on 2, but no idea what that means: is it the higher the number, the easier to breath out? Can I change it myself? Haven't found how to do that, if possible at all.
My range is set, as I discovered, between 4.7 and 15, but it says the highest it uses is 8.2-8.7. That came also from the readout at the sleep guy, under 9. Would it be better to lower the upper limit then?
