Oh, that's right. You are in Montreal, so you already have Arctic whether in January and February. I grew up in Pointe Claire.

So I just finished the second technical interview - I now feel I know nothing and can't think straight or logically.
I studied hard all week and they asked almost nothing that I studied.
Also there were a lot of situational "bad thing happened" questions dealing with people questions. For one situation I said I would quit if pushed into doing something against my ethics (talking people dieing here).

But tomorrow I have another 2nd interview with another company. If they want me, then they will want me to start next week, but I really want this first job....but I am not in any position to refuse a job.

My daughters move is going ahead well, the relocation money has arrived so she is breathing again. The granddaughter is finding her balance about it. I am going to be stuck with a house full of stuff to get rid off. Pack rat daughter suddenly saw the light that she could leave all her "crap" behind and buy new cheaper then moving it. I will be stuck with her badly trained dog until June because shipping it in the dead of winter is a no go and it would make temporary rental accommodations difficult. But I get a garden! Yay!!

Now, that's what I call making lemonade out of a lemon.

Hope you get the first job -- the one you want.

If not that one, the second.

You will.

One or the other. So saith RG.

But if neither of those pan out, a better one will come along very soon.

I'm confident that good things are going to come from your interviews! A lot of times I think the interview questions are less about what you know and more about trying to find out if you'd be a good "fit" in the organization. Anyway, sending the good thoughts your way!

I thought you were a computer programmer! What kind of programming kills people?! In any event, I hope you get a job that will be perfect for you.

Everything has computers in it or computers are used to design it. One of the first real computer uses was to calculate rocket trajectories during WWII. Someone programmed those as well as all those cold war ballistic missiles, the A bombs and lots of other stuff. I had a friend who in the 70's was involved in speech recognition for spy bugs for MI5.

Basically I said I was not opposed to working on a valid Canadian military project but I drew the line at illegal stuff like germ warfare.

I am feeling swept off my feet a bit. It has been kind of funny. Last week and the weekend before were very busy and the more I put them off the more they wanted to talk to me.

Waiting still for the details...

Dearest,

Someitmes, things just suck. And I just want to tell you that I have fallen in like with you, and love that you came to us. It's an HONOR.

I don't know the politics of this idea, but have you thought about looking here for a renter? I don't know if it is "legal"to be off-topic like that here, but it seems to me we have a powerful community due to a terrible thing that maybe could help us in woddeful ways in other areas in our life?

If I could pull a job out of my pocket, I would bow and present it to you on a silver plate. Thanks for all you ARE let alone all you do. And rant WHENEVER you want.

Sending bear hugs,
MoonBear
