Hypopnea definition / Respironics BiPAP Auto SV

The definition of hypopnea varies. In general, it seems to be defined either as a partial blockage (30-40%) of the airway for at least 10 seconds or as a pattern of waxing and waning breathing. Anybody know which one the Respironics BiPAP Auto SV is recognizing/treating ... and which one shows up on the Encore Viewer/Pro data?
