ResMed S9 and external power/UPS supply
Re: ResMed S9 and external power/UPS supply
Thanks for the response. I hope someone else will respond and we can keep this post viewed by many others. There are a lot of people that are waiting for Resmed to bring to market a 12 volt power supply for their S-9, I hope they're not holding their breath. I'll be thinking now about what I can do..........I'll try to make a silicone rubber mold of my connector, if that is successful I will contact you to see if could mail it to you to check the fit. Won't be till after the holidays though. Thanks, I think we may be getting somewhere with this. john

Where do you see the 24v info? The description you link too mentions only 12 volts.jlk wrote:https://www.cpap.com/productpage/DC-Pow ... Bipap.html
I think this power supply is the same connector that the S-9 needs, it also is 24 volts. Anyone have one of these in their possession? john

Additional Comments: Hose management - rubber band tied to casement window crank handle! Hey, it works! S/W is 3.13, not 3.7 |
Re: ResMed S9 and external power/UPS supply
I read the reviews that customers posted, that was my only 24 volt info. Does the connector appear to be correct?
This is the only review mentioning 24 volts. Found at cpap.com, M-series bi-pap plus machine specs lists 24 volt dc power adapter. john
Great Product, high price

"I bought this product so I could run my Bipap Pro2 on a 12-volt battery, if necessary. We get a lot of power outages in my area. Normally, I use a good UPS to cover these. However, during extended power outages (like for a hurricane), I believe it would be better to hook this directly up to a 12 volt battery for a longer runtime between charges.
I have a small 120 volt inverter that plugs into my car, where I can plug my Bipap into. But, I believe this 12v to 24v converter will be more electrically efficient to use while in the car.......
