cpap leaking water

The water tank on mine leaked, so I sent it back. The company said they would send a new water tank. Guess what? It leaked even more to such an extent that I was tired all the time. I bought a new machine, different model, and noticed my strength coming back. With the other model, I lost strength in my legs and the list goes on and one. The sleep company is still telling me that the first machine was ok. I have had sleep apnea for years and never had a problem until the leak. My first machine was very expensive and now the sleep place is telling that I will have to pay to have it repaired!!!!!

What machines? (specific brands and models)
Where were they leaking?
Were they NEW machines?
Were you overfilling the tank?

Some of the early Respironics M Series machines had problems with their humidifier tanks and specifically with regard to the design of the seal. It took them about three attempts with different designs to get it right.
But, that's been quite a few years ago (like about eight).
