I think it's a question of priorities for Junebug (and the rest of us). If a Dr. is "useful" and not a rocket scientist, but we can get by without their brilliant insight - it's probably best to spend our times looking for better Dr.'s (or help) in other areas of life. If Junebug really was having problems with sleep medicine and needed medical help - then its time for another physician. If she really can get by and needs help in another area - best to spend time finding someone worth their salt in that area.Bons wrote: But on the other hand, it is your right to have a doctor that gives a darn about you and will discuss your case with you. I just made my switch official.
My sleep Dr. is good enough in that she gets the job done for me. If I had a life threatening problem that needed sleep Dr. intervention, I would find someone else. Right now, I actually need to find an Internist that is helpful (and not harmful) - the one I have is so bad my wife or I will not go to see him ever. That's worth pursuing and I will soon. But CPAP therapy seems to be working fine and I have no real issues that I can't get better information from the people here. So there is no reason to change. Priorities. No one I know has wonderful Dr's all the time.
So, Junebug, if you slept OK last night ... feel free to rant, but don't bother pounding the pavement for anyone new. I bet you have things covered.
As for me .... anyone know of a good tax accountant???? Now this I am desperate for - and the IRS can kill you!
