Anyone submit cpap.com invoices to Anthem Blue Cross of CA?
I have the Prudent Buyer PPO coverage, providing $2,000 for DME per year, paid 70% in network and 50% out of network. cpap.com is definitely not in network and will not bill insurance, period. Has anyone here with the same Anthem Blue Cross insurance bought any machines or supplies directly from cpap.com and submitted the invoices to Anthem Blue Cross for payment? If so, did Anthem Blue Cross pay 50% of the invoice amounts or play games?

I have them..but I have not made any purchases and tried to bill. I am in the same boat. I am thinking about just buying my stuff and taking it off my taxes at the end of the year.
I would say its work a try. I would file the paperwork and see what happens.

Not Anthem, but I purchased online and submitted bill to HealthNet and was reimbursed at the 50% rate. It was still cheaper than rent to own & I got what I wanted.

I also have Anthem BC PPO. I called them, explained the situation. They didn't want to hear it, said not to bother sending the invoices in. They only pay if we buy through their approved DME suppliers. But then I was told I can always file an appeal and it might be honored. That worked when the sturgeon for my pre-approved surgery used a non-network anesthesiologist. At the time, I had no way of knowing she wasn't in-network, so they allowed it.Breathe Jimbo wrote:One more time: anyone?

Now I have HealthNet HMO. Since it has been a long time since you answered, are you still able to buy online and submit the bill to HealthNet?hobbs wrote:Not Anthem, but I purchased online and submitted bill to HealthNet and was reimbursed at the 50% rate.
