I have been using my S 8 machine for 4 months now. I use the nasal pillows on a setting between 7 and 8. My Apneas are all CENTRAL and occur when I sleep on my back. I was having over 100 events a night before I started the therapy.
Now I average 4 events a night, I don't get up once to go to the bathroom; I sleep on my back and still keep the central events down to 4. The other night I had 1 event and my hyponea events are starting to come down as well. My AI is .2 my AHI is 1.8 and my HI is 1.6.
These numbers were in the 30's at the start of my therapy. I feel like a new man and find that even if I do wake up I fall right back to sleep. Last night I woke shortly and in a half sleep noticed my breathing was very steady and almost "forced" I am wondering if after a year of the machine; this might act as sort of a "cognitive behavior therapy" and teach my brain to not stop breathing?
I would imagine the rest of my body is beginning to rejuvenate from this oxygenated sleep as well?
GREAT NEWS

Great to hear I was a total mess when I started Cpap I have not gone without it for even one nite in ten years My last machine replaced last month had over 18000 hours on it I would be scared to death to try and sleep with out it now.
