Sick

Post by Mimmie » Wed Nov 10, 2010 1:04 am

Thank goodness for my machine. I wouldn't be able to sleep at all right now without it. Just diagnosed with the flu today. I haven't been feeling well for a few weeks. Having all kinds of weird problems. I thought that it was just a bad sinus infection/bronchitis again. Have to go back in the morning for more testing. Unfortunately, my doctor thinks that I may have lupus. But the new cpap is amazing. I love the new hose. I can actually breathe with it and it makes all the stuffiness better and no rain out. Really liking it.

Yes it is better then any cold medication commercial. I coasted through my bronchitis/pneumonia last winter, even wore it at times during the day LOL.

Good luck on your doctor visit and I hope it is something simpler and more manageable.

Mimmie -- I hope you feel better soon. I found the same thing when I got sick a couple weeks ago. I was terrified because I hadn't gotten my flu shot yet and my cold/flu things ALWAYS turn really nasty. My Pulmonologist said that being on the ventilator would probably help prevent me from getting deathly ill.

And she was right. I had a nasty cold, thought it was turning to pneumonia at one point, but I rallied and got over it without needing medical treatment.

I think the cpap/bipap/ASV/ventilators are a big plus when people get colds/flu. I'm a believer now.

Take care of yourself.

Hi, I hope you feel better soon. I have been so lucky since I've been on c-pap I haven't had a cold but it sure does help my allergies.
I have you in my prayers.
GOD BLESS YOU!!

Had all the testing done. I won't get results until Friday or Monday. They also blew out 3 veins tring to get blood so now I have a stretch bandage on my arm because its throbbing and has huge knots. That's gonna look real pretty by this evening. I am right with you on using the machine even during the day. It just makes it feel better. The humid, warm air just helps.
