Mike and molly

Post by newyorknative » Tue Nov 09, 2010 7:15 pm

I never thought I would see the day when they would show someone using a cpap. Mike of mike and Molly wore a cpap this week. It was hilarious!

About time! And it WAS funny!
Next step: a CPAP-wearing skinny person.
Exposure one step at a time--Stereotype-busting takes an eternity.

I'm not sure I like the show in general but I thought they did a very good job showing how the issue of CPAP is brought up in a new relationship, the realities of CPAP (Mike definitely needs a chin strap!), and even about carrying it to a "sleepover" date. Either the actor or a writer on that show must know CPAP.

Anybody know what mask he was wearing????

I miss The Big Bang Theory in that timeslot. I have to DVR it to ever get to see it now and postpone watching it. I LOVE that show--funniest thing on t.v.

CBS ordered a full season so most likely they will not pull it this year.

I thought I would die laughing when he bent over and water poured from his nose the day after he used the netipot. THat's exactly what happens to me. Water gets trapped up there and comes out hours later.

I haven't seen Mike and Molly, yet. I'll have to download it.

A man wearing a cpap was on one of the cop shows this week too....seems to me it was CSI- NY. He also had narcolepsy and kept falling asleep while they were questioning him.

I was watching the Mike and Molly show off the DVR late at night durring an insomnia episode. I was all hosed up and just starting to get dozy when that bit came on. It made me laugh and make all kinds of weird noises through the hose. Unfortunately the laughter brought the insomnia back full swing.

I was wondering if someone would post about Mike n Molly. What made this sooo funny is it hit very close to home for me. I am new to CPAP and my girlfriend and I have been going through the are we or aren't we going to sleep in the same bed because of the CPAP.

If people with ostomies have normal lives; CPAP isn't even an issue!

Here is the CPAP clip from the show: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/mike_and_m ... Ksp5OselIy_

The sleep industry fails another mouthbreathing patient by prescribing a nasal mask.

The dude's hose management looks suspect.

In another forum (an industry forum)--a so-called 'professional" INSISTS that patients can learn to breathe through their noses exclusively; provided they are "motivated". I just wanted to slap this moron even sillier.

Sure we can breathe through our noses, but when we sleep our jaws relax and the air just blows out. How are we supposed to learn to keep our jaws clamped shut?
