APAP Not Registering Hours Used

Post by ccsully » Wed Nov 03, 2010 11:58 am

Hello, folks--

Have learned a lot from reading the posts here---my thanks to all those willing to help out us newbies.

Been using xPAP a little over a month now. Replaced my insurance-subsidized bare-bones CPAP with a DeVilbiss IntelliPAP a couple weeks ago (on my own dime) and have been keeping track of the SmartCodes, saving them as .pdf files on an almost daily basis.

Began noticing something funny the last couple of nights: using the machine for 5 or more hours, but the report only shows a couple of hours (or less) usage. The machine is on, and so is the mask, when I go to bed and when I wake up, so I'm trying to figure out what gives---is this likely to be a problem with the machine, or with how I'm using it?

Hi and welcome.

I have not had your particular problem but i'm wondering if the unit time is, perhaps, not set correctly. My understanding is that the unit records from 12pm thru 12 am. If yours is out of sync then maybe only your time recorded after 23:59 is being reflected... if that makes any sense!

There is a forum member who works for Devillbiss memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=39642 who has been very helpful in the past. Send her a PM and maybe she can help you.

Wish I had an answer. I had the same problem, when I had a download done at the doctors office the machine showed only two nights of use over 4 hours. Very embarassing as I had been using the machine all night every night. They never did figure out the problem. Funny thing the hours used on the machine showed I had used it over 9 hours every night, just not their download.
