Sure is a lot being said about sex on the board these days!

I'm no expert, so take this as intended.

As I understand it, having your sleep apnea treated will give you more energy. Obviously, having more energy and being more alert will make you happier and more attentive to loved ones. This could lead to some positive bedtime experiences, however, medically, I'm not sure it's going to bring your guys to life if they've already passed on.

However, if you are just having trouble getting up for the game, who knows? It could work...let us know.

There are many reasons for impotence. As Mabile states, more energy will most likely help out in the desire department It is difficult to be romantic when you are exhausted.

Another big issue is blood sugar. If you have elevated blood sugar, you will most likely have impotence. Sleep apnea causes a person to produce more cortisol during the night. Hence higher blood sugar and possibly difficult to control diabetes.

I would definately say that using a cpap will help. Will it completely cure the issue? That is an unknown. Some people have muliple health issuses that can play into the impotence factor.

Using the CPAP makes me feel so much better, that we usually just keep it on for the important moments in bed. We work around the hose

Tent Pole and heated snake in same bed

Quote from my wife: "Two weeks on CPAP and now we have a tent
pole holding up the covers again!" Apparently if you get into good
REM sleep, you can get a stand-up performance, as well. Also, have
your testosterone level checked. Sleep apnea can cause your levels
to drop, and you may need to use some supplemental Testtim/AndroGel
for a couple of months until it is back up in the normal range.

Can't add anything to the discussion, but isn't it fascinating how well read this thread is compared to the average

I use an autopap so it doesn't overinflate.

Hmmm. I would think an Auto would CAUSE over-inflation, because as soon as it started recognizing that no more air was being called for, it'd up the pressure, where as a straight CPAP would keep blowing and when the pressure inside your "date" equalled that the CPAP machine was blowing, it would stop inflating.

Liam, discussing physics in a CPAP discussion. What could be less useful?

I would think the auto would work well, it would put in just the right pressure in your date, depending on the amount of obstruction. I would worry if it didn't sense any obstruction

Hi ladies - this one's for you!

Have been happily married for over 30 years- BUT, before all that started I had an interesting relationship with a young lady ( I was young then too) who seemed to have a kind of sensuous (getting so old had to look up how to spell that! - try it without looking) I know - get on with the damn story, but you know how us oldsters just like to babble. Anyway she had a kind of sensuous (did I get that right?) name for various parts of the anatomy that seemed to come into play ( four heaven sake, pardon the pun as well as the spelling) whenever an intimate occasion occurred ( would you say that was hard core alliteration?) So anyway, maybe I should call her ( dammit the number's out of service) to see what name's she could suggest for the various parts of the bedside unit ( the BIG one). Am convinced if you treat the little (BIG) blow buddy as an intimate friend. it may become an adventurous threesome! Whadda ya think?
